Join our group on this fully escorted tour to Norfolk Island. Our guide will fly with you from Melbourne.

This wonderful tour includes return economy airfares (Melbourne – Sydney & Sydney – Norfolk Island) and all transfers to and from the airport, as well as an overnight stay in Sydney on route to Norfolk Island.

Day 1 – Thursday

Today you will meet your tour escort at the Virgin domestic terminal at Melbourne airport for our group flight to Sydney. Once we arrive in Sydney we will be transferred to our hotel for overnight accommodation.

Day 2 – Friday

This morning we will be transferred to Sydney airport for our early morning flight to Norfolk Island. Upon arrival we are met by our driver and transferred by coach to our South Pacific Resort, our home for the next 7 nights.

Late this afternoon a welcome function for Funlover Tours so that you can get to know your fellow travellers.

Night as a Convict

A fun night out for all ages. Dress as a convict and join in with the Commandant for an evening of gaiety, feasting, singing and dancing. Great food and great fun. (Outfits supplied).

Day 3 – Saturday

A full buffet breakfast will be served in the hotel restaurant this morning before we enjoy the fresh morning air at own leisure.  After breakfast we explore the island on our Half Day Island Discovery Tour”.

Visit historic Kingston, Cascade, Longridge and much more. See and hear about the famous convict buildings, beautiful beaches and golf course, the renowned Melanesian Chapel, local Government laws and lifestyle. Enjoy views from scenic spots on this full commentary conducted tour. Rest for a delicious morning tea in the garden of an historic island home built by Fletcher Quintal – descendant of ‘Bounty’ mutineers Fletcher Christian and Matthew Quintal.

This evening we will take you to a cliff top location where a barbeque dinner will be served. The best location will be chosen on the day.

Day 4 – Sunday

Full buffet breakfast is served at your hotel. The morning is at leisure and lunch is own arrangements.

Convict Settlement Tour

This afternoon join Pinetree Tours an ‘In Depth’ tour of the historic Georgian Settlement of Kingston. Walk through the cemetery and hear the history of interesting convict and colonial headstones and hear stories of the houses along Quality Row. Walk through the ruins of the new gaol; see the Pier Store, boat shed and the crank mill. Afternoon tea is included.

Dinner at Hotel         

Tonight’s dinner is a 2 course at your hotel.

Day 5 – Monday

Full buffet breakfast is served at your hotel.

Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama

Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama is an unforgettable experience. This is one of only a handful of paintings of this type in the world and is based on an art form made popular in the 1800’s. Walk inside the circular painting and be surrounded by the immense artwork. A spectacular 3D effect is achieved in this painting with its detailed artwork and realistic perspective and the story that traces the history of the Bounty leaving England through Tahiti, Pitcairn Island and arrival at Norfolk Island in 1856.

The rest of the morning is at leisure and lunch today is own arrangements.

Progressive Dinner

Enjoy a 3 course meal progressing to different Norfolk Island family homes. A fun night and a great way to meet the local people and sample some of the Island dishes

Day 6 – Tuesday

Full buffet breakfast is served at your hotel.

Today is at leisure and lunch is own arrangements.

Island Fish Fry

Late this afternoon enjoy a feast of Island dishes, salads, homemade bread and fresh fried fish, followed by Island deserts and tea or coffee. Watch the sun set from Puppies Point on Norfolk’s beautiful western coastline and enjoy some local entertainment.

Sound and Light Show

Nightfall at Kingston brings a different mood to the Convict Settlement. The stillness and the stars are there just as they were before settlers arrived in 1788. However, with the dramatic use of real life sounds, theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the stillness is broken as you are taken through the horrifying decades of Norfolk Island’s convict era.

Day 7- Wednesday

Full buffet breakfast is served at your hotel.

Breakfast Bush Walk

This morning take your choice of a stroll through One Hundred Acres Reserve or for the more energetic, a leisurely 3.5km walk through scenic Mt Bates to Captain Cook Monument. If you prefer not to rise early and bush walk you’ll be picked up a little later and taken to join the walkers at Anson Bay as they return from their walk and where you’ll all enjoy a delicious breakfast barbecue on the clifftop.

Pizza under the Pines

Enjoy a welcome cocktail followed by gourmet wood fired pizzas in the beautiful surroundings of one of Norfolk’s pine forests. Sit back and relax while you are spoilt with pizzas and salads especially made from locally sourced produce. Top your meal off with homemade ice cream and gelato, tea and coffee.

Day 8 – Thursday

Full buffet breakfast is served at your hotel.

Behind the Hedges Tour

This morning travel to Anson Bay to visit a small hobby farm. Close by see a pottery demonstration and browse the Cottage Pottery shop. After a delicious morning tea at a scenic location, visit a beautiful private and commercial garden that supplies our local florists. Then it’s off to a private property to see one of Norfolk’s biggest banyan trees.

Lunch is own arrangements and the afternoon is at leisure.

No. 9 Quality Row Private Dinner

No.9 is part of the Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Historical area. The house and built during the convict period (c.1839-1840) as one of two first class officers’ quarters. Today, No.9 is the focal point from which the Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Historic Area (KAVHA) Management Board operate their research and interpretive programs. Dinner will be held in the annexe at the rear of the house and you will love the atmosphere of having dinner in this special building.
